Looking for a one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day present that will represent your love and commitment? Here’s a novel idea! Our Renewing your Relationship distance learning program provides an entire month of love-supporting exercises (beginning the day after Valentine’s Day) that will help you to shake the dust off your precious relationship and put a smile on your partner’s face.

Relationships rise and fall, smile and cry, stretch and bend . . . they provide some of our most memorable moments, in grief and in joy, they challenge us and delight us. And they need our devoted attention if they are to thrive.

We pave the way for you by providing a calendar of daily exercises that help to cultivate love and good will.

The focus of each exercise is to become the best partner YOU can be. That’s your job and your gift to your partner. By focusing in on your own role in the relationship, rather than monitoring your partner’s role, you will have a chance to experience one of the secrets of a great love affair . . . and a great life! By spending as little as 30 minutes a day, you (and your partner) may notice a significant shift in your relationship.

We provide thought-provoking ideas and perspectives from a wide variety of sources to support your month-long adventure.

A rich collection of readings are provided through the course website and in your program packets. These materials contain a wealth of wisdom about love. We have selected each one based on its poignancy and relevance to our day to day lives. You will also receive an audio CD by Gregg Krech & Linda Anderson Krech, in which they discuss their own efforts to deepen and nourish their relationship.

And finally, we facilitate an online discussion amongst our program participants from around the world.

This discussion allows for a sense of camaraderie to develop amongst program participants during the course of the 30 days. This interpersonal dimension adds richness and cohesiveness to the program, allowing real and important relationships to develop between fellow-participants. You decide how active or inactive you’d like to be, and what method of message delivery you prefer.

Whether you've been married for forty years or are just getting to know your special person, this program will provide practical guidance to strengthen your bond and to handle the irreconcilable differences that inevitably arise in a committed relationship. When life is busy our primary relationships can easily be neglected and taken for granted.
If you are sincerely interested in devoting yourself to building a wonderful relationship with your partner, this is an opportunity to do so in a deliberate and conscious way.

You can participate alone or with your partner. (In fact, you might consider doing this program as a secret service for your partner!)

Distance Learning Programs

Our distance learning programs are practice programs. The emphasis is on doing exercises and assignments and learning from your own experience. You should be prepared to devote an average of 30 minutes per day to the exercises and assignments. As part of a larger learning community, your training not only benefits you but also supports others who are making a similar effort.

The tuition cost is $72 per program for members and $87 for non-members; the cost for a couple registering together is $20 more. Tuition includes written materials and/or audio tape, calendar of assignments for the entire month, participation on the private mailing list for the course, shipping costs and access to a program advisor throughout the month. There is an additional discount of $30 if you register for at least three programs in this series. Additional discounts are available for alumni (please call). If you would like more information about these programs please contact us at (802) 453-4440 or by e-mail todo@todoinstitute.com. You may also register on-line.

Who Are We?

The ToDo Institute is a non-profit educational center located nestled in the foothills of the Green mountains in central Vermont. We serve as a meeting place between east and west, where methods of Japanese Psychology blend with western culture to provide powerful tools for enhancing our lives. The applications of our work bridge the gap between the spiritual, the psychological and the practical. Facilitators for this distance learning program include Linda Anderson Krech, MSW and co-author of A Finger Pointing to the Moon: A Workbook for Establishing Direction and Focus in Daily Life.
