"Many people have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."
-- Helen Keller

Join us for Living on Purpose, a memorable evening with a powerful and thought-provoking message about the role of purpose in our lives with Gregg Krech, author of award-winning book, Naikan: Gratitude, Grace & the Japanese Art of Self-Reflection.
You can register for the event online or by sending us a personal check. See the bottom of this column for more information.
Gregg is a leading authority on Japanese psychology and is the founding Director of the ToDo Institute, a Resource Center for Purposeful Living located in Vermont. He has been sharing his inspiring perspective with diverse audiences around the globe for the past 18 years. Gregg's work has been featured in a wide range of publications including the SUN magazine, SELF, Utne Reader, Fitness, Counseling Today, and Experience Life.
Purpose is on our collective minds these days. Rick Warren's "Purpose-Driven Life" has sold over 25 million copies, as people search for guidance about their lives. But Gregg's perspective on purpose is not dependent on religion and is not based on a materialistic view of success. Join us for a powerful and refreshing perspective on purpose, one that is informed by values that will sustain and support us all, one that will help you create a life that is satisfying and a legacy of which you can be proud. And you will have the opportunity to meet with others who are doing interesting work and living purposeful lives. Among ToDo supporters expected to attend are: Barbara Sarah, Founder of Benedictine Hospital's Oncology Support Center in Kingston, NY; Rich Blonna, author or Coping with Stress in a Changing World, Mark Levy, author of Accidental Genius: Revolutionize your Thinking through Private Writing and Ilise Benun, author of Stop Pushing Me Around: A Workplace Guide for the Timid, Shy and Less Assertive. Join us-- and connect with old friends or meet some new ones.
Your attendance will also provide support for a special organization. The ToDo Institute, a nonprofit retreat and educational center, has been serving as a meeting place between east and west for the past 14 years, bridging the gap between the psychological, the practical, and the spiritual.
